John Muir House

Here are some photos of the John Muir house located in Martinez, CA. It's such an awesome gem right in my own backyard. John Muir is such a interesting and motivational person and if you have the time you should stop by his beautiful home and step back into a simpler time and learn and thing or two about him, his rich history and his amazing causes.

My perfect friday night

I took some photos last night and I couldn't wait to get home from work to do it again. I nearly froze to death from the chilly night air but it was worth it to get these great shots! Enjoy! 

Christmas goodies

I hope ya'll had a good Christmas with your family and friends. I know I did! I got all sorts of goodies for my photography habit. Like a new camera bag, a light weight tripod, the 35mm lens I've been eyeballing and a new camera strap. Phew! Oh and I got to sign myself up for a photography class as a gift to myself. 

I've dying to try new tripod out so tonight after dinner I darted out into the cold to do just that. Night shooting is so different then shooting during the day. It opens up a whole new window for me.  Maybe tomorrow night I'll go out again. 

Sunrise, sunrise

Glad I took my camera to work with me today. I always bring it with me wherever I go but today I hesitated because it was going to storm today. Luckily I brought it with me because I caught an awesome sunrise and I was able to snap some pics on my lunch. Looking forward to taking some pictures over the holidays!

Lucky me we went to a winery

So I have the most awesome boss on the planet. Our traditional surprise holiday outing was at winery in Napa where my fellow co-workers and I got pampered at the spa. It was a-mazing!!! A day to really relax and what better way for me to relax then to take some photos. So grateful I brought my camera.

I love being an Auntie

I got to spend sometime with these cuties. These are two handsome nephews and beautiful niece, they were so good for me. Well a pocket full of Skittles helped too.
