Jammin'
Hello blog world. Feels like I haven't posted in awhile but it's only been a little over two weeks. I just feel like a lot has been jammed packed into that two week time period. Between work, taking photos, class and editing my time has been limited. Luckily one of my classes will be ending tomorrow so that'll free up some time. I've been learning a lot in my photo class and my Photoshop class has taught me some basic stuff but I definitely need to practice. So in the last two weeks I've taken hundreds of photos...literally. I've taken everything from night photos, to photos of San Francisco to family portraits. My wish for the new year was for my photography to really bloom and so far the new year has been great to me. So here is just a few of the things I've been busy with. Hope you enjoy!

Homework on my lunch break
So now that I'm taking a photo class we get weekly homework which is awesome! I get new ideas to take photos of things that maybe normally I wouldn't think of plus I like the challenge it gives me. So I was looking forward to the summertime car shows that pop up in the Bay Area to get some shiny pictures of classic cars however my first homework assignment was to go out and snap some shots of cars (old, new, beat up etc). Needless to say I was super excited and knew exactly the place to go. The Blackhawk Car Museum in Danville is literally a two minute walk from my office so on my lunch today I dragged my co-worker with me to check out some classic cars. Let me just say these aren't cars they are works of art. They are truly breath taking! Here's the link if you're ever interested in planning a trip to the museum http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/
Side note tomorrow I'm headed to Alcatraz. Stay tuned for those photos tomorrow.
Enjoy!

What I've been up to lately...
So with the start of the New Year I want to take my photography to new places. So what better way to kick off the year then by taking some classes to help me better my craft. Currently I am taking a Photoshop course because I really need help with learning it's complex editing tools and I'm also taking a basic photography to brush up my skills. The instructor of my photo class is the organizer of East Bay Digital Camera Group a pretty cool meet up group that holds workshops and meet ups for beginners and pros alike to share their tips and practice their skills. If you're a photographer in the Bay Area you should check if out http://www.ebdigitalcameragroup.org/
Also I offered my services to some lucky families for free to practice. Here are a few of my favorite shots from my first session. I look forward to the New Year will take me.
